Welcome to „Wiener Web-Waren“!
About 15 years ago my love for weaving
awakened. Equipped with my Ashford Rigid-Heddle Loom, using tabby-weaving as my
base, a style which has nearly inexhaustible possibilities including weft- and
warp-faced patterns, I embarked on a fascinating journey of discovery and
explored the wide range of weaving-techniques.
The
simplicity of warping and the joy of weaving on the Rigid-Heddle Loom
corresponded well with my need to experiment a great deal. Eager to exploit the
possibilities and as a “logical consequence” I also became soon occupied with
multi-shaft weaving on an Ashford Table-Loom.
Additionally
I acquired the “art of spinning”,
because it had a special attraction for me to trace the textile value chain
even further to the source and spin my own, individual yarns out of different
fibres.
Soon I
decided to make my own business as an artisan and set myself the goal to not
make mass-produced products, but rather to create beautifully crafted unique
pieces with lovely details instead.

The high
quality yarns from Atelier Zitron, which are manufactured fully in
accordance with Oeko-Tex Standard 100, Class 1, are
suitable for weaving and most of all for hand
knitting, which too, is very popular again.
